Solat shows prayer times on your iPhone and Apple Watch. We collect as little as possible: no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDKs.

Prayer times

For JAKIM zones, the app downloads prayer times from us using only the zone code (for example SGR01). The files are delivered through Cloudflare, our hosting provider. Like every web host, it receives your IP address to send the response and to protect against abuse; we don't keep these addresses or link them to you.

Location

If you allow it, the app uses your location to find your city and its prayer times, and checks it again when the app opens if "Update when I travel" is on. If you turn on "Also update in the background", iOS tells the app when you arrive somewhere new so prayer times stay right; this is off by default. To show your city's name, the coordinates (or the city you search for) are sent to Apple's map service. Your location is stored only on your devices (iPhone and Apple Watch) and is never sent to us: we only ever receive a JAKIM zone code.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple. Apple sends us notifications about purchases and renewals (product, price, currency, country and dates), which we use for sales statistics. We never receive your name, email or Apple ID; transaction numbers are stored only as hashes.
